Below are apps, extensions and plugins upon which I’ve become so dependent that I can hardly imagine being without them.

Mac

  • 1Password — Manage your countless passwords and other important information
  • Dropbox — Share files among your computers and iDevices, and with others
  • Things — Personal task manager; syncs with iDevices
  • CrashPlan — Off-site backup for one or more Macs
  • SpamSieve — Spam filtering for the email client on your Mac
  • Malwarebytes — Removes adware and malware
  • ​Feedly — News aggregator enables you to subscribe to website feeds
  • Instapaper — Save articles for offline reading on iDevices 
  • PhoneView — Archive your iPhone's text messages, voicemails and more
  • Skype — Free voice and video calls between computers and mobile devices
