It’s just as if we’re sitting together at your desk! It’s also very secure: The only way I can access your screen is when you launch TeamViewer at your end, and read me a four-digit password that’s unique for each session.

In addition, I can even help you with iPhone, iPad or iPod touch questions by using an app called Reflector that mirrors your iDevice’s screen onto your Mac, where I can see it via TeamViewer.

In some ways, remote tutoring is even better than sitting side by side. Because each of us is sitting directly in front of our own screen, we enjoy these benefits:
  • the optimal viewing angle makes it easier to see the screen clearly 
  • sitting straight instead of leaning to one side helps prevent back strain
  • it’s much easier to take turns typing and using the mouse ​or trackpad
I do with this with many of my clients who find it immensely useful and convenient, whether for a brief troubleshooting call or a tutorial of an hour or longer. There’s no minimum time, and sessions are pro-rated.

Working remotely, I can do just about everything I could do if I were working with you in person, except for physically unboxing a printer or plugging in cables. Even setting up a new Mac or iDevice and transferring all of your data is a piece o' cake when I walk you through the steps.
